7 Seeds

After a meteor devastates Earth, a plan designed to preserve humanity releases groups of young survivors once the planet is safe to inhabit again. In Japan, five groups awaken in this changed world: Winter, Spring, Summer A, Summer B, and Fall. Each group has seven members and a guide, who carries small tubes of poison so the survivors can end their lives if their circumstances become unbearable. The Japanese government has prepared seven Mount Fuji refuges for them, stocked with seeds and books that teach wilderness survival.
