Ouga plans to gain power by recruiting an expelled female knight captain, build a harem by helping oppressed commoner girls, and strengthen his connections by excelling at the Magic Academy. He even hopes to enter the underworld by targeting its bad actors. But his efforts to act arrogantly keep earning him admiration instead. Unaware that his reputation is growing beyond his control, Ouga's second life as a supposed villain begins to turn into a misunderstood saintly existence.
