B-Shock

Nitta Arata is a 21-year-old engineering student at Toaru University, working his way through college without much trouble. That changes when he receives a letter asking him to meet someone with the initials N.H. in a secluded spot on campus. The note looks like a love letter, but Arata suspects a prank—especially since N.H. could mean Nogi Hatsune, the engineering department’s celebrated heartthrob. Still, he decides it is worth showing up. While he waits, someone grabs him from behind and covers his mouth and nose with ether-scented gloves; his vision fades before he can discover who sent the letter or why.
