Sixteen-year-old Sakura Ichiko seems to have everything: beauty, intelligence, good health, and an extraordinary store of “Happiness Energy” that brings happiness to those around her. But her ability draws energy from other people and places, upsetting the balance of the world. To correct that imbalance, the Poverty God Momiji targets Ichiko. Momiji aims to take away Ichiko’s power to absorb others’ Happiness Energy and return the energy she has taken to where it belongs.
