Capeta

Taira Capeta discovers a talent for kart racing after his father builds him a kart from discarded parts. In fourth grade, Capeta has already lost his mother and hides his loneliness behind a tough front around his father. When they take the homemade kart to a circuit, Capeta notices its bent frame makes it difficult to drive straight. He compensates with his technique, then catches up to a fast kart driven by Minamoto Naomi, the East Japan Junior Kart champion. After watching their chase, Naomi’s mother, Nanako, advises Capeta to enter an official race.
