Derby Queen

Ootome Hime sets out to become a jockey and defeat the rider she blames for her father’s death. Her father, a jockey who dreamed of winning the Japanese Derby, dies in a terrible racing accident while Hime watches; the jockey responsible retires, overcome with guilt. Ten years later, Hime hears that Arakawa Jin, the son of the man involved in the accident, is making his Derby debut. She watches him race and is furious when he wins. Hime leaves high school to attend a special jockey school, determined to beat Jin. There she meets Tadano Ryouhei, an aspiring jockey and new friend, but she refuses to let him distract her from her revenge.
