Chuta Kokonose, an orphan living with his aunt, has heard a voice in his head for as long as he can remember. He seems like an ordinary boy until a strange creature follows him home and teleports him to a space police station filled with fantastic beings. There, Rein Brickke, Chief of the Solar System Department, explains that the station’s computer has selected Chuta as a possible police recruit. Misuzu Sonokata, a girl from Chuta’s school who is one of Rein’s subordinates, doubts his suitability. Urged on by the voice in his head, Chuta decides to take the aptitude test and prove her wrong.
