Eleven Soul

In the mid-21st century, a gene experiment unleashes an evolving life-form that threatens humanity. The discovery of an “immortality” gene drives rapid research, but a sample is accidentally contaminated by a biohazard. The resulting creatures, known as the Shahel, absorb genetic material from nature and grow strong enough to defeat human armies. The Shahel now control both North and South America, and the United States has disappeared from the map. In Japan, the government develops a samurai unit of soldiers enhanced with nanomachines that link them to armored exoskeletons. Tsukahara Takemichi is assigned to the unit’s first platoon at the Place of the Samurai.
