Hand's

Daigo wants to become a hero, but his father’s gambling debts leave them on the run from the yakuza. Once the ace of Japan’s handball team, his father asks a coach to take Daigo in and look after him. The coach sees Daigo as an exceptional talent and sends his daughter to fetch him. Daigo then goes to live with the coach and his family. The series is based on a one-shot that Weekly Shonen Jump liked enough to develop into a series.
