High School of the Dead

A mysterious disease spreads worldwide, killing vast numbers of people and turning the dead into attackers. In Japan, several high school students and a school nurse band together to escape Fujimi High School after zombies overrun it. As the outbreak devastates the world, the group tries to discover who or what caused the plague while struggling to survive. The story is initially narrated through the eyes of Takashi Komuro, one of the students who makes it through the first outbreak.
