Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou

Harumi Kazuhito loves books more than anything and spends his days reading. While enjoying a story in a café one night, he is killed after trying to stop an armed robber who threatens the people inside. Kazuhito wakes up reborn as a dog, cared for by Natsuno Kirihime, one of the café’s customers that night. Somehow, Kirihime can hear his thoughts. She also has a sadistic streak and a fondness for scissors, leaving Kazuhito to face life as a dog in her care.
