College senior Wren Wu has never been a team player. So, when her brother gets checked into a rehab clinic across the country, and her family makes her move with them, her world is pulled off its axis. Her solitude is challenged further when she joins the school roller derby team. It’s probably a mistake. As a former figure skater, derby is far from the skating she’s used to. It’s rough, dirty and she bruises easily. But perhaps her biggest challenge is the elusive and infuriating team captain: Corinne Fontaine.
