Kunisaki Izumo no Jijou

Izumo Kunisaki, a descendant of Izumo no Okuni, is constantly mistaken for a girl, a source of frustration for him. His father and best friend often laugh at the confusion, and his family’s Kabuki troupe casts him in female roles. In this short story, Izumo discovers that what he sees as a curse can also be his greatest strength. He sets out to show just how much of a man he is.
