Liar Game

Honest college student Kanzaki Nao is drawn into a contest where losing means owing a hundred million yen. She receives the money along with a card naming her as a participant in the Liar Game, whose players try to trick one another out of their funds; the winner keeps a hundred million yen, while the loser is left in debt for the same amount. Nao learns that her opponent is her former teacher, Fujisawa Kazuo. When she asks him for help, he instead tricks her into giving him her money. The police cannot intervene, so Nao seeks advice from Akiyama Shinichi, a notorious swindler who is due to be released from prison the next day.
