Maomarimo

Mao receives a divine destiny to become a girl during his village’s festival, changing how his family and closest friend see him. He lives with his three sisters in a village where the gods are a constant presence, and the transformation comes in his first year of high school. Mao is happy to accept his new womanhood, but those around him struggle to adjust. His aggressive twin sister Akoya, or Ako, once teased him for being a feminine crybaby and now seems to blame herself for his transformation. Ako and Mao’s closest male friend from school both have to reconsider how they think of the new female Mao.
