After a fight with his father, 14-year-old Ikuto Tōhōin runs away from home and boards a ship overseas. A violent storm throws him into the ocean, where he drifts for a week before washing ashore on an unusual island. The island’s residents live as if in the Meiji era, and a surrounding whirlpool makes escape impossible. Ikuto also discovers that the island is inhabited only by women, who are desperate to marry because there are no men there.
