Bojji, a hard-of-hearing and physically weak prince, dreams of becoming the greatest king in the world. As the firstborn child, he works toward that goal, though people behind his back call him a useless prince and doubt he can ever rule well. Bojji’s life changes when he meets Kage, a shadow who understands him. Kage is the sole survivor of an assassins’ clan that was nearly wiped out; no longer an assassin, he now earns a living by stealing. The story follows Bojji’s coming of age as he encounters the people around him, beginning with his meeting with Kage.
