Real

Real follows three teenagers whose lives are shaped by basketball and disability. Nomiya Tomomi is a high school dropout with no clear future; Togawa Kiyoharu is a former sprinter who now plays wheelchair basketball; and Takahashi Hisanobu, once a popular leader of his school’s basketball team, is left paraplegic after an accident. Each faces challenges that set him apart from others. Togawa’s difficult personality brings him into frequent conflict with his teammates, while Takahashi must adjust to being unable to move from the chest down. Though they have no place to play, their shared desire for basketball connects them as they struggle with physical realities and feelings of inferiority, gradually pushing past their psychological barriers.
