Red (KOBAYASHI Hiromi)

Becky Lynn Lee grows up in Bend, Mississippi, with an abusive father and a broken mother, believing she has no chance to dream of a different life. After an ultimate betrayal, she escapes to Hollywood, determined not to return to the nightmare she leaves behind. Working as a photographer’s assistant, Becky Lynn discovers an eye for beauty and a talent for capturing the right image. When she steps in front of the camera, the shy, awkward girl she once was gives way to a new identity. As the success she has found comes under threat, she must face her past and find the strength to move beyond it. The comic is based on Erica Spindler’s novel *Red*.
