Kotarou Tennouji is a high school student in Kazamatsuri, a modern city known for its greenery and rich culture. Cheerful and curious, he spends his time teasing the self-proclaimed delinquent Haruhiko and nurturing his feelings for his eccentric friend Kotori. He also has a supernatural ability: he can permanently alter parts of his body to improve his strength or speed, drawing him toward the occult. After an unusual encounter with Akane Senri, the solitary president of the Occult Research Club known as the “Witch,” Kotarou revives the club. He recruits Kotori, Chihaya, an awkward student from another school, the strict class representative Lucia, and the quiet Shizuru. As their shared activities reveal secrets about the club members, Kotarou approaches a fate that only he may be able to change.
