Sengoku

Sengoku challenges the familiar image of how samurai fought in feudal Japan. Mounted warriors charging into battle with swords, slashing at one another, may be a false picture of combat. The series questions how samurai truly fought and takes aim at the version of battle supposedly forged during the Edo period and accepted ever since. Its focus is a reassessment of historical combat rather than a conventional tale of warfare.
