Fay Tonpou, a Banbetsu—a half-human, half-animal being—works as a mercenary. A young girl approaches him with a special request: protect her and the rare yeast she carries. The yeast can be used to distill Dream alcohol, a drink that has not been made for decades. Hoping to bring it back, the girl entrusts Fay with keeping both her and the precious yeast safe.
