Shihyakushiki

In the modern Reiwa era, the legendary Momotaro awakens reborn in the body of a chicken. Centuries earlier, during the Edo period, the gods charged him with defeating demons that prey on people using life-draining parasitic bugs. He fought beside his loyal vassals Kensuke, Saruhiko, and Yukijiro to protect the innocent. When a powerful demon nearly destroys the group, a divine prophecy promises Momotaro rebirth from a peach and calls for one vassal to become immortal and guard him through the ages. Now Momotaro has finally returned, though not in the form anyone might expect.
