The Fragile Sparrow in the Palm

A plot left him poisoned while safeguarding the one he cherished, leading to a lifetime of suffering due to a beast-like transformation. A farewell turned his beloved into his nemesis. Upon their reunion, one had ascended to the position of emperor of the central plains, holding the power over life and death, while the other had become a king of the western regions, having descended into the abyss in search of assistance. However, he never anticipated that beneath that seemingly compliant and meek exterior lay tumultuous currents poised to erupt. Entwined by love and animosity, the hunter transformed into the hunted, ultimately unable to evade the snare of tender affection.
