The One

Cane Lele is drawn into the fashion world she has long resented after her aunt persuades her to pose as a model. Her mother, Ye Feii, was Taiwan’s top model, and her father was a model too, but both die in an airplane crash when Lele is young. Raised by her paternal grandmother, Lele grows up believing the industry is superficial and unnecessary. At seventeen, Lele begins to reconsider modeling after seeing a photo shoot of popular American model Angus Lanson and recognizing it as an art form. Her aunt, Ye Feihung, a former model and fashion agent, brings her to a meeting of leading fashion ambassadors where Angus is expected. Lele is eager to meet him, unaware that his twin elder brother, Eros, is secretly there in his place. As Lele pursues her goals in New York—becoming a top model and perhaps finding love—the brothers’ presence sets the stage for confusion.
