The Regressor and the Blind Saintess

Vera, a former beggar, trampled over others and never hesitated to make despicable deals just to survive. Even when the Demon King appeared, he didn’t fight like a hero; instead, he crawled into the deepest shadows to save his own skin. He managed to survive until the end, but all that awaited him after the war was his own karma. As he lay dying, consumed by a curse, Vera expected to be alone in his final moments—and he didn’t ask for anything more. Yet, he opened his eyes in a gutter, and there stood Renee, the blind saintess who had been declared dead. Though Renee was blind and her body was covered in burn scars, she took Vera in with a heart more compassionate and selfless than anyone else’s. But in the end, she died, and Vera failed to prevent it. After regressing, he vows that this time, he will find her first and protect her no matter what. However, protecting Renee isn’t something that can be solved by strength alone. On the day the Saintess’s Stigmata manifests, the entire continent—the Holy Kingdom, the Empire, the Kingdom Alliance, the Dragonians, and the Followers of the Night—all begin to move, centering around her.
