The Summer of the Ubume

In Tokyo in 1952, novelist Sekiguchi Tatsumi becomes intrigued by the disappearance of a doctor and the doctor’s mysteriously pregnant wife. He turns to his old friend Chuuzenji Akihiko, a bookstore owner and part-time exorcist, for help investigating the case. Though reluctant, Chuuzenji joins the inquiry, which leads the two men toward the family’s darkest secrets. Sekiguchi, too, finds himself entangled in what they uncover. This manga adapts the first novel in Kyougoku Natsuhiko’s Kyougokudou series.
