Tsunagu Kurose is a high school student who loves composing music, though his singing and lyrics draw harsh criticism online. While helping his quiet classmate Otoha Hinomori take photos for the school culture festival, he learns that his childhood friend Tetsu Tamura is in trouble after an accident disrupts his club’s stage performance. Tsunagu offers Tetsu some instrumental demos to help, but Tetsu opens the wrong file: a song with Tsunagu’s terrible lyrics. Just as Tsunagu is ready to give up in embarrassment, Otoha removes her glasses, takes the microphone, and begins to sing. Her captivating voice sounds strikingly like Icy, the famous singer Tsunagu has always admired.
