Yagyu Jubei Dies

After the events of *Demonic Resurrection*, Jubei Yagyu leads the Yagyu Clan but has largely withdrawn from public life. A group of warriors approaches him to ask whether he will take a position at their dojo, but Jubei is more interested in watching a Noh performance by Chikuami, his friend and subordinate. The encounter begins to take an unexpected turn. This is the third story in Futaro Yamada’s Jubei trilogy, following *The Yagyu Ninja Scrolls* and *Makai Tensho*, also known as *Demonic Resurrection*.
