Amakusa 1637
Amakusa1637

A high school student on a senior trip is thrown into Japan’s past, where she becomes entangled in the events leading to the 1637 Christian rebellion. Hayumi Natsuki arrives in 1636, separated from some of her friends, and reunites with her friend Eri. They learn that Shirou Tokisada, the young man expected to lead the revolt, is already dead—and that Natsuki looks exactly like him, despite being a girl. A kendo champion and heir to her family’s Hakuhouryuu style, Natsuki refuses to stand by as Christians are persecuted. The villagers come to regard her as an angel sent by God, fulfilling a prophecy made 25 years earlier. As the rebellion approaches, Natsuki must face the possibility that friends from her own time may become her enemies.
