Ao Haru Ride

Yoshioka Futaba enters high school determined to remake her image and start over. In junior high, her looks lead other girls to ostracize her, and a misunderstanding keeps her from expressing her feelings to Tanaka-kun, the boy she has always liked. To avoid making new friends jealous, Futaba tries to act as unladylike as possible, and she is content with the life she builds. Then she meets Tanaka again, now called Mabuchi Kou. He says he shared her feelings when they were younger, but that things can no longer be as they were. Futaba must face what remains of a love that never truly began three years ago.
