BB Project

Kyoto’s Japanese teenagers are divided over whether foreigners should be welcomed or excluded, and rival gangs prepare to settle the conflict in an underground fighting tournament. The contest, called the Black Boat Project or B.B. Project, takes its name from the ships that brought foreigners to Japan under Commodore Perry. Franck, a Parisian who loves fighting, arrives in Kyoto supposedly to study. He is more interested in flirting with Japanese girls and spending money in video-game arcades, but his fighting instincts return when he gets caught in a clash between hooligans and the mysterious Megumi. Franck is drawn into the B.B. Project without realizing it.
