Beck

For most of his first fourteen years, Yukio Tanaka leads a dull, uneventful life. Without hobbies or much interest in music, he longs for excitement, but his shyness and nervous nature keep him from finding it. That begins to change when Yukio meets Ryusuke Minami, a bold, unpredictable sixteen-year-old recently returned from America. Ryusuke plays in a rock-and-roll band called Beck, named after his distinctive dog, whose body is patched together like Frankenstein’s monster.
