A kingdom founded by a hero who defeated the darkness is thrown into turmoil when the next heir to the throne dies mysteriously. Though the hero’s descendants have ruled for generations, the kingdom’s politics are largely shaped by elders from its regions. The heir’s death draws everyone with a claim to the throne into the struggle over who will become the next king. The kingdom’s long-standing peace gives way to a contest involving those with the right to succeed.
