Sakura Kinomoto becomes the master of a set of magical cards after accidentally releasing them across her hometown of Tomoeda. Guided by Kerberos, their sun-based guardian, she must use her own magic to recover the Clow Cards before they cause more trouble around town. Her best friend, Tomoyo Daidouji, encourages her as she takes on the task. Sakura also encounters Syaoran Li, a rival cardcaptor who is a direct descendant of the cards’ creator.
