Chat

Kang Hae Yo is a high school gang leader who longs for an ordinary life and a boyfriend. As the leader of Seoul’s most powerful school gang, she struggles to get away from gang life, especially because her hot temper flares whenever she encounters people she considers weak. In 2002, Hae Yo starts chatting online under the nickname “playgirl18.” Though she knows little about computers, her deputy leader, Yoon Ji Ni, teaches her the basics of online chat, including how to act girly. Hae Yo begins to see online chatting as a chance to find a new life—and her only escape from the gang.
