Matsuda Erika, known as Eri, has learned to be independent and dependable because her parents are a little slow. She also takes it upon herself to care for the people around her, though some classmates find her overbearing and annoying. When a strange new student joins her class, Eri feels drawn to look after him. Nogina Kaname speaks in choppy sentences and shows little to no facial expression, making him seem almost like a martian to her.
