Grace Shaw is focused on her ambitions and has little time for personal relationships. That changes when a cheeky virtual-reality game hacks into her holotech hair clip. If she can repair its glitchy code, she gets to keep the game—but she needs a Player Two to help her play. As Grace plays to win, Levin seems to have something more lasting in mind. Their game becomes a tangled, mysterious drama that brings up Grace’s past and unsettles her doubts and dreams. To finish it, she must untangle her own inner code, while Levin may be the unexpected error she never anticipated.
