Dahlia no Obi

A young man searches for his best friend in a small village shortly before marrying his childhood love. His friend was supposed to return from Tokyo for the wedding, but the young man finds only a note and the presents his friend intended to bring. The note refers to a night when lightning and rain cut off power in the village, leaving the young man to wonder whether lightning was really to blame. The collection also includes stories about a divorced woman and her young daughter, alongside several other titled works.
