Defending the Villain’s Innocence

A former money-minded lawyer is reincarnated as a penniless extra in a romance fantasy novel and sets out to defend its most notorious villain, a grand duke condemned to die for murder. Their deal soon becomes a contract marriage, though the duke cautions her not to expect more than the agreement promises. She has no plans to fall in love either: she wants her generous payment, a divorce, and a comfortable life. But events do not seem to be following the plan she has made.
