Divine Melody

In historical times, two village children rescue a young fox demon and become bound to her by a debt that lasts across lifetimes. Duo Xi is a lively boy, and Xiao Que is a gentle girl; both live at the foot of a mountain said to be home to female fox demons. Among them is Cai Sheng, a lonely little fox with the potential to become a powerful male fox able to father celestial fox children. When she comes down to play with the children and is attacked by a dog, Duo Xi and Xiao Que save her. Two hundred years later, Cai Sheng has grown more powerful and mastered the ability to become a man. She still owes a debt to the reincarnated Duo Xi and Xiao Que, whose lives remain tied to the promise she made.
