Evergreen (KASUKABE Akira)

Yoshimatsu Hotaka, president of the manga club, keeps up with his studies and club duties despite often skipping class activities. Beneath his appearance as an ordinary honor student, he is burdened by melancholy and haunted by past misfortunes. He spends his high school days admiring Awaya Nika, the beautiful, cheerful ace of the swimming club. Hotaka expects to carry on this way until his physical education teacher assigns him private swimming lessons to make up for the classes he has missed. The lessons bring him and Nika into a different kind of relationship. As their connection shifts, questions emerge about the bitterness Hotaka carries, what he is trying to hide, and the ways Nika may be more like him than he realizes.
