In a distant future, Earth lies beneath dense clouds that block out the sun, leaving most plants dead and oxygen scarce. Humanity survives through a technology that transforms people into plants, allowing them to produce a small amount of oxygen. The choice forces each person to weigh what it means to live as a human against the possibility of becoming something else.
