Ran Kurono is determined to become the First Knight to the next head of the Ohtori family, a role her family has held for generations. Since her older brother died protecting Sei Ohtori, Ran has devoted herself to the position and hides that she is a woman. At Saint Locks Academy, Ran and Sei face trials: Sei must prove herself fit to lead the family, while eleven other knights compete for the title with ambitions of their own. They receive help from Sei’s fiancée, Ibara Tennou, whose untidy, unrefined manner adds another complication to their days.
