Hanakisou

As violence and death spread, a prophet warns that an endless snowfall will bury the world and extinguish all life. Hanashiro is raised as the Savior and told that killing a person known only as Kuroto is the only way to prevent the world’s destruction. While traveling, Hanashiro finds Kuroto in the mountains and recognizes him at once. Rather than a monster, Kuroto is a quiet young man living in near-isolation. Curious and uncertain, Hanashiro holds back and gradually befriends him. As the time of the foretold snowfall approaches, Hanashiro must face whether the world’s survival truly depends on Kuroto’s fate—and whether he will carry out his duty.
