Haruka 17

Miyamae Haruka is a 22-year-old university student nearing graduation, but employers keep passing her over. Worried about becoming a jobless graduate, she lowers her expectations and applies to a small talent agency, hoping for work as an agent. The unusual interview leaves her answering embarrassing questions and performing for a camera; she soon learns the position has already been filled. The agency instead mistakes her for someone auditioning to become a performer and sees the potential for a star. Though Haruka initially refuses, she eventually accepts the chance to become an idol—one who is presented as 17. As her career begins, she faces the sleazy, frightening world of entertainment and its fierce competition, while her relationships with the people around her help her discover more about herself.
