On his way home from a business trip, middle-aged salaryman Hiroshi Nakahara takes a train to the hometown he left behind. After visiting his mother’s grave, he is transported to a summer when he is in junior high school, inhabiting his younger self while retaining his adult memories, knowledge, and abilities. Back in the past, Hiroshi comes to understand the burdens his father carried and the tears of his mother. He must consider whether to change choices he made before, and whether he can find his way back to the present—or is trapped in the past.
