Mayuzumi Asahi is an economics student who lives alone and sometimes cooks for his two friends. A devoted fan of the magical-girl series *Ikai no Majoko*, he collects its merchandise and admires its twist revealing that the otherworldly attackers come from 10,000 years in the past. One day, a girl with a black cat breaks into his apartment and attacks him with a stun gun while he is washing dishes, and he cuts himself on a knife during the struggle. Afterward, Asahi goes to his job at an anime merchandise shop. When he follows a customer who has forgotten something, he intervenes to protect her from harassment, but the harasser beats him. Asahi suddenly summons a flaming car that runs the attacker over. The police take him into custody, drug him, and bring him to a remote location. There, masked figures question him, decide he is a witch, and burn him alive.
