I Received a Request from the Villain Boss

After three days without food, a starving orphan accepts bread from a villainous guild master—and finds himself bound to the man by an unusual bargain. The guild master knows about the orphan’s ability to see through things and offers him a warm place to sleep, protection, and gold in exchange for doing work and providing food. Though wary, the orphan decides the villain seems kinder than the orphanage director who made the children beg and go hungry. He expects to complete assigned tasks, but the guild members show him a surprising amount of affection. When he fails a request and nearly suffers a serious injury, the guild master comes to his rescue, more concerned about whether he is hurt than whether he has succeeded.
