Incandescent Moon

Duan Cheng Feng’s aunt is one of the emperor’s concubines, and she wants to protect her high standing at court. To secure her position, she bears the emperor a child, but the baby is a girl rather than the boy she hoped for. The aunt tries to persuade her family to exchange the infant for their nephew. The boy’s parents attempt to prevent this by pretending that he is seriously ill, hoping she will abandon the plan. Her ambition, however, is not so easily set aside.
